Krav Maga in Plymouth

Darryn started his martial arts training at the age of fifteen in Tae Kwon Do. After four years of training he took his Dan grade at the Black Belt Academy in Bristol, under Michael Dew 8th Dan.

Darren wanted to pursue more street effective martial arts and eventually found American Kenpo. Darren trained under Phil Cawood 7th Dan and eventually earned his Black Belt in the system.

Whilst training in Kenpo Darryn also trained to become a Close Protection Officer/Bodyguard. Whilst on the close protection course, Darren did some Krav Maga training as part of the unarmed combat training. Unable to find good Krav Maga Darryn trained in the Jim Wagner Reality-Based Personal Protection system under Pete Lee. Darryn then became a level 1 instructor in the system.

Later Darryn became a British Combat Association Instructor under Pete Consterdine & Geoff Thompson. Darryn joined the British Krav Maga Association and went through Instructor Boot Camp to become a fully certified Krav Maga Instructor.
